Paul & Fay Grant are best known for the their exploits in the
Class 5 Australian Championship winning F150 and prior to that, their original
Navara OZ Truck. They recently took possession
of an extra wide Class 4 Chassis from Richard Bennett's Imported Performance and
set about transferring the running gear from the F150 to the class 4 chassis.
The original OZ Truck was a class 5 Navara Ute
built by Paul and Fay incorporating a Turbo FJ20 and a buggy trailing arm type
front end. This car was retired to make way for the F150.
The body of the all new OZ Truck is a slightly (!) modified fibreglass
shell based on their old Navara with the running gear from the F150. The end result - A Navara
bodied class 4 with a THUMPING bloody great big 351 Windsor (which sounds bloody
awesome at full noise!) putting out some 480
odd horses, Turbo 400 box running through to a heavily modified Ford 9 inch. Add some Kuster shocks, 6 months
working in the shed every night, a very understanding sponsor in Number 1
Engineering and you end out with:
OZ-TRUCK
