Kelvin and Ian Hill are currently building a new class 2 car based on a wider
version of Ian's class 9 car.
"The car will sport a 20valve 4AGE, full house Albins
1800 box, Fox coilovers on the rear with Bilstiens on the front, OBX race seats,
Saco rack and EMS."

"Thanks to Paul Grant for his assistance, Ian for putting
in so much time and Ian's wife Narelle for putting up with me being there all
the time, and my girlfriend Michelle for pushing me to hurry it up so she can
have a go!"

A couple of future offroaders?

The buggy is really starting to take
shape. Kelvin and Ian are obviously burning a fair bit of midnight oil to
get the car completed! If the budget is there the car should be completed
around mid-year.

Updated
The car has been finished and has had its
first test run round colo. Unfortunately the test was done in the first
downpour Sydney has had in months making it a bit difficult to test handling
characteristics.

Kelvin's
first race in the new car was at the Milbrodale Mountain Classic where the car
was going great until an engine gremlin surfaced. Until that point the car
was very on song.
Kelvin would like to thank his brother
Ian and sister-in-law Narelle, Paul Grant of No 1 Engineering for his help and
mostly his girlfriend Michelle for her support.
I would
like to say thanks to Kelvin and Michelle for taking the time to provide us with
the information on the build process to see how the car came together.

The
buggy has been updated with:
Renault UN5 box, Honda c32a
and bypass shocks on the rear.

"Ian and I have done a ground up
rebuild with a Honda c32a, reno gearbox and by-pass shocks added. I'd like
to thank Ian, Ian's wife Narelle and my wife Michelle again, as well as a big
thank you to John Towers for all his help and input on the motor. He did a
outstanding job on the motor. Also the 2 Pete's at EMS for coming over
after hours to help get the car running and dynoed"
